Elementary Procedure for deficit accounts:

Elementary Students who do not have money in their account will be called, emailed or sent a letter notifying the family that food service will be denied. Once food service is denied, a peanut butter or cheese sandwich will be provided to the student.  This is a prepay system and money needs to be in the account to make purchases so please be aware of how much money is in your child’s account. Click on the Check Account Balance button above to use Skyward’s Family Access, to check your account balance and recent payments and purchases. If you haven’t signed up for this service yet, please visit the Oconto Falls School District Website’s Resources, and Family Access Information.

All EC, 4K & 5K students are offered Wisconsin Morning milk in the classroom.  If they are on free or reduced, there is no charge for this milk.  If they are paid, this money comes out of their food service account.

Middle and High School Procedure for deficit accounts:

No ala carte purchases will be allowed if the account is deficit. All students will be given notice when their account goes deficit.  Lunch will be served up to $10 deficit and then will be denied.  Families are notified by the Food Service Secretary by email, letters or phone calls.   Please make sure you remain aware of your family’s food service account balances. Your children can ask the scanners at any time for their balance and remind your child to let you know if they were given a warning. As always, please feel free to call the Food Service Secretary  at 848-4466 ext. 3  if you want to find out your account balance. You can also access this information on ‘Family/Student Access’. Payments can be made online on the E~funds tab or at any school office.

A la carte snack items or extra milk are not included with lunch and students who purchase them on account are charged full price regardless of whether they receive free or reduced price meals. Parents should discuss purchasing guidelines with their children in advance to prevent unwelcome charges to their account.

Payments by check or cash are accepted in an envelope with the name written on the outside. Elementary school payments are collected in the classroom and office, Middle school payments at the office, and a locked drop box is available for High School students in the cafeteria.  High School students can also give money to any food service employee throughout the day.

Any money remaining at the end of the school year will be transferred with the student to the next grade, or left for other students in the family.
